Our experience with Rockfrog has been outstanding. They had hurdles to overcome (we had a previous solar panel system) but did a phenomenal job getting our system installed and running. Customer service is exceptional! Our system has been running since March. We are now at the end of August and Zach has reached out to ensure we are happy and if we had any questions.

Daveand Evan from Rockfrog are Amazing! We have had Solar for awhile, but we needed an expert for the plan to hook it up to our new House/Church. They are detail oriented and stayed in close communication throughout the project. They also worked through a difficult time with the Power Company, but we're successful in achieving getting our 2nd inverter on. I would highly reccomend this group for your Solar needs!!!

Rockfrog is amazing. Kudos to Zach for putting up with me! I had contacted him a year before I decided to actually do this and he still remembered me, updated my quote, and answered my millions of questions. He helped dial in what I need and helped me with all the stuff. The install team was fantastic, polite, and quick. I went with a battery back up and panels and so far its offset almost all of my daily use and its only been a few days. I would strongly recomend them for any solar project needs!

Rockfrog was referred to us by our builder. Zach was incredibly knowledgeable about solar, batteries, panels, equipment, install and how to minimize costs while maximizing system value. He provided clear quotes, multiple options to chose from (depending on our specific needs) and clear breakdowns of energy costs versus what can be saved. Probably the best thing was his quote being truly “turn-key” which meant all electrical work, trenching (we had panels on the house and barn in our plan), and install is included in a single number. I didn’t quote around much, but using AI it was clear the quote was highly competitive. I don’t think you can go wrong with these guys if you’re looking for solar- good luck getting off the grid!

We had our system put in this past winter and are already reaping the benefits from it! All of our neighbors lost power awhile back and ours went on completely uninterrupted thanks to the batteries we installed. We also have already went from having a $950 Centerpoint bill to having a CREDIT with them this past month! As far as the service with Rockfrog, it was unmatched! We were highly impressed with everyone we came in contact with. They were extremely professional and helpful with all questions we had along the way. Even several months later if we have a question they are very quick to respond and provide support. If you are thinking of adding solar to your home I would highly recommend checking them out!

After getting tired of the cost of high electric bills, we started to look at solar options. Dave and Allen came to our home, developed a project quote and completed our project in a timely manner. Employees working to complete the project were polite and professional. We have not had any maintenance on our system. Our area has lost power since our system was installed and solar / battery backup kept our home running. The best part is that our electric bill has drastically reduced. Our lowest electric bill thus far has been 9 dollars. Going solar is definitely paying for itself. Would highly recommend ROCKFROG!

We started by requesting quotes from three solar companies. Two of them provided a response and estimate to provide solar and batteries for our house. Once we reviewed both quotes, we responded requesting that we not have any Tesla related equipment. Only Rockfrog Energy was able to work with us to meet our requirements for solar. We worked with them to refine our needs, and to better understand how our energy would be provided with the combination of solar and batteries. They are thorough and great to work with. They have good communication from the start of the project through the completion. They have followed up with us several times. Notably, they took the time to message all of their customers before the last snowstorm with information on how to ensure that the batteries are as fully charged as possible in case of an electrical service outage. These folks are top notch, and we appreciate the work that they did to provide us with a solar and battery solution that matches our energy needs.

We had out system installed in November and we are very pleased with the performance. The entire team was professional and provided great communication with us throughout the entire process.

I contacted Zach at Rockfrog and within four hours, he had emailed a plan and a proposal. In just over a month, the entire system was installed and working perfectly. If I have any questions, they are quick to respond to my inquiries. I highly recommend this company. On a side note, one of my friends hired another local company at about the same time and they are still getting excuses on why they have not started his project.

Full transparency...I'm an owner of Rockfrog Energy. We appreciate all the reviews here. We are blessed to have great people that do great work and the crew did a great job with our house. We designed and installed a Powerwall 3 system with an expansion battery and 16kW of solar in May of 2025. This was the first Tesla Powewall system we installed as a company. We wanted to install it and test it first on my home before we started installing them for others. We are an all electric house and we have paid $11.77 for each month since May (which is just the connection fee). Hope this information helps shed light on what is possible with solar and battery installed on a home.

Rockfrog did an amazing job installing my solar system! Dave, Zach, and Allen are super friendly and easygoing. They’re laid-back and great to work with. There was no sales pressure at all. They didn’t try to sale me anything I didn’t need or want. In fact, they suggested I go with a few less panels than I wanted. The software they used to analyze my property was way better than some others I’ve seen. The amount of data they were able to give me was the main reason I decided to go with them. I did a lot of research on my own before I contacted them, and I knew the equipment brands I wanted to go with. They had no problem with that. Some places only want to sell and install the brands they prefer. I couldn’t be happier with the system they installed for me. I chose to go with the Tesla Powerwall 3 with an additional Tesla DC Expansion battery, and Qcell solar panels. The system is even better than I thought it would be! I was their first customer for installing a Tesla Powerwall 3 after they got their Tesla certification and they installed it professionally. I highly recommend Rockfrog Energy for any solar application and installation!!! A definite 5 stars plus!!

Our experience with Rockfrog Energy has been a pleasure. All the members of the team were knowledgeable, available to answer questions, and easy to talk to. Installation of our panels and batteries progressed smoothly and timely with no cutting corners. The entire process was stress-free. We spoke to two other local solar companies prior to Rockfrog and we were not impressed with their knowledge of their product or their desire to work with us on our project. The system has performed as expected. In the first full month of use (May 2025), we saved $223 off our energy bill. If you're interested in solar we highly recommend these guys.

We have had a solar system with battery back-up by Rockfrog Energy for almost 4 years. Rockfrog gave us energy freedom through solar panels and a battery system. We absolutely love our solar system from Rockfrog Energy! We originally chose solar for the energy and cost savings, but also wanted the peace of mind that comes with having backup power. Last week, we lost grid power for 12 hours—and we never missed a beat! Our solar system kept everything running: refrigerator, hot water for showers, cooking at home—you name it. It worked exactly how we hoped it would. We also had a plug installed for an external generator as a backup to our backup, but we didn’t even need it! On top of all that, Rockfrog has really delivered a personal touch throughout the entire process. They’ve been incredibly responsive to any questions we’ve had—before, during, and after installation. We have had the Rockfrog Energy Solar/Battery systems at our Indiana home and our Florida home for 3 years. The savings have been substantial and the operation flawless.
